| Course Purpose and Description | AMathematics 3 is a Middle and High School math course. We will cover some basic math concepts as well as Algebraic Expressions and Concepts. We will learn how to properly understand the nature of a number and how correctly read an equation and solve it. We will solve for x and Graph the Line. | Grading | Grading is a group effort between the instructor, the parent, and the charter schoolteacher. Our time in class will be spent going over the lesson work. They will have on average 2 lessons to complete as homework after each class (whatever time we have left in class after the planned lesson is done, I allow them to work on homework. We will have weekly tests that will primarily tell me if your student is learning. Each semester will be graded on a 1,000-point total. Every point that that earn will go towards their grade. | |||

| Lessons 60 fall 60 spring | Every day we will go over approximately 2 lessons from the book. I will send the students home with a sheet for the parents to sign saying they have completed the lessons. | 5 points each (300/semester 600 Total) | ||
| Tests 15 fall 15 spring | 30 tests will be administered throughout the year. 15 in the first semester and 15 in the second. Each test will be worth 40 points | 40 points each (600/semester 1200 total) | ||
