Course Purpose and Description
  		Algebra 1 is a Middle and High School math course. We will cover some basic math concepts as well as Algebraic Expressions and Concepts. We will learn how to properly understand the nature of a number and how correctly read an equation and solve it. We will solve for x and Graph the Line. Algebra is about Logic Processing and Problem Solving

Point Breakdown Attendance
30 per semester 		Students will earn attendance points for being present in class. 1 point for arriving on time and 1 point for being there. 1 points each

60 spring 		Every day we will go over approximately 2 lessons from the book. I will send the students home with a sheet for the parents to sign saying they have completed the lessons. 5 points each

  Tests
15 fall
15 spring 		30 tests will be administered throughout the year. 15 in the first semester and 15 in the second. Each test will be worth 40 points 40 points each

  Math Project
1 Fall
1 Spring 		Each semester I will assign a Business Math Project worth 70 points. A Rubric will be handed out with the grade breakdown 40 points per semester
80  total
  Extra Credit Every full complete lesson grants an additional 5 points extra credit. 250 Max Extra Credit Pts per semester (25% of the grade)
