This Choir is designed for students interested in working on singing skills, with an emphasis on performing.
This is an introductory course in the development of vocal technique and music reading skills. Students will receive instruction in
several components of proper singing including: posture, breath management, projection, tone resonance, and diction all within
the Choir setting. Basic music theory, ear training, harmonizing, and sight singing will also be introduced. Greenhouse Choir will
perform varying levels of Choir arrangements for various concerts. Field Trips will be scheduled – with ADVANCE notice to
parents – for performance experience.
Age: Upper elementary through middle school (though high schoolers are invited to come in as assistants to the Director.)
